Golden Gate Community
GGC served as the fiscal agent to support the work of Esther Sprague, a respected grassroots leader in the Darfur advocacy movement who has unique partnerships with U.S. organizations and Sudanese diaspora. Humanity United partnered with Sprague to further her outreach and fundraising initiatives, and to launch a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating support to Sudan.

Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) Mission to the United States
GOSS Mission to the United States works to promote southern Sudan’s interests, including positive relations between southern Sudan and the government and people of the United States. Humanity United provided leadership training and support to the 2007 New Sudan Way Forward conference.

Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI)
HHI comprises multiple Harvard entities that advance research, practice, and policy in the field of humanitarian assistance, which is brought to populations affected by war and disaster. Humanity United partnered with HHI for a project to assess the feasibility and value of crisis mapping and early warning in instances of mass atrocities.

Henry L. Stimson Center
The Stimson Center is a nonprofit, non-partisan institution devoted to enhancing international peace and security through a unique combination of rigorous analysis and outreach. Humanity United partnered with the Stimson Center for a policy research and outreach project to improve global preparedness and response to mass atrocities with military force, primarily within multi-lateral organizations such as the United Nations.

Human Rights Center (HRC), University of California Berkeley
HRC investigates war crimes and other serious violations of human rights and international humanitarian law, and provides empirical studies recommending specific policy measures to hold perpetrators accountable, protect vulnerable populations, and help rebuild war-torn societies. Humanity United provided operating support to HRC and supported the March 2007 conference, “Stopping Mass Atrocities: An International Conference on the Responsibility to Protect.”

International Center for Transitional Justice (ICTJ) Productions
ICTJ is an international nonprofit organization that assists countries pursuing accountability for past mass atrocities or human rights abuse. Humanity United supported the launch of ICTJ Productions, a media initiative to widely disseminate first-person accounts of mass atrocities in countries most affected by these abuses, thereby bringing transitional justice stories to new audiences.

International Justice Mission (IJM)
IJM secures justice for victims of modern-day slavery, sexual exploitation, and other forms of violent oppression. Humanity United provides support for IJM’s portfolio of U.S. policy and legislative initiatives.
