"The Devil Came on Horseback"
This 2007 documentary tells the personal story of former U.S. Marine Captain Brian Steidle, who witnessed the violence and tragedy of the Darfur genocide firsthand as a military observer with the African Union. Humanity United assisted with the documentary’s production and supported outreach initiatives associated with the film.

The Elders
The Elders is a small, powerful group of world leaders and activists who have united to collectively contribute their wisdom and leadership to tackling some of the world’s toughest issues, including the crisis in Darfur. Humanity United, through the Better World Fund, helped to found The Elders and supported its Every Human Has Rights campaign.

The Emancipation Network (TEN)
TEN works with survivors of modern-day slavery to build businesses, and helps to prevent slavery by creating jobs in high-risk communities. TEN sells its products under the trademark Made by Survivors. Humanity United supports TEN with strategic business planning to promote success and sustainability.

"The Reckoning"
Skylight Pictures is creating this documentary, which seeks to increase understanding of the International Criminal Court and promote a broader discussion about the ICC’s role in the international justice system. Humanity United supported the production of this film.

TrustAfrica
TrustAfrica is an African foundation that seeks to secure the conditions for democracy and development throughout the continent. It works by fostering dialogue, catalyzing ideas, and supporting projects that address these challenges. Humanity United and TrustAfrica engaged in a two-year partnership in 2008 to promote the development of Liberia’s civil society.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM)
USHMM stimulates leaders and citizens to confront hatred, prevent genocide, promote human dignity, and strengthen democracy. Humanity United partnered with USHMM to launch the Crisis Mapping Initiative, which uses Google Earth to layer information about the world’s escalating human rights emergencies.

Vital Voices Global Partnership identifies, trains, and empowers emerging women leaders and social entrepreneurs around the globe. Humanity United provides core operating support to Vital Voices’ anti-trafficking program.
