Mike Boyer
Vice President, Strategic Communications
Mike Boyer is Vice President for Strategic Communications at Humanity United. He is responsible for setting and executing the foundation’s global communications strategy—including overseeing support to media organizations for mission-related coverage, leading public awareness campaigns and initiatives, heading up the foundation’s press outreach, managing the brand presence of Humanity United and its affiliates, and other duties. Prior to joining Humanity United, Mike worked for nearly a decade as a journalist, most recently as a senior editor at Foreign Policy magazine. His work has appeared in the Boston Globe, National Geographic, New Republic, San Francisco Chronicle, Washington Monthly, Weekly Standard, and other publications. He was also a regular expert commentator on television and radio outlets such as Al Arabiya, Al Jazeera, CBS News, CNN, and NPR. Before working as a journalist, Mike served on the legislative staff of U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel, where he covered foreign relations.
Mike earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Colorado College and a master of arts degree in the history of international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
